In addition to general hospital services, which are usually covered by statutory health insurance policies, we also offer the following additional, separately billed services:
Treatment by the chief physician
With his many years of experience, the chief physician makes the diagnosis and personally decides on the appropriate course of treatment to aid your recovery.
Accommodation in a single or two-bed room
Most of the rooms at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau are three-bed rooms. For a supplementary charge, inpatients have the option of staying in a single or two-bed room. When you are admitted to the hospital, we will determine whether you wish to share your room with other patients.
The package of services accompanying the single and two-bed room option could almost make you forget you are in hospital. Comfortably-equipped rooms, a newspaper, laundry service, safe, cold drinks and an à la carte menu served in your room.
Accommodation and food for a companion
Particularly for patients who live a long way from the hospital, it can be helpful to have a relative close by. Relatives can rent rooms in our residential home. The home offers compact, pleasant accommodation situated within the hospital grounds. Please be aware that we are not able to let these rooms by the day.
The cost-benefit ratio for accommodation offered as an optional additional service has been agreed with the German Association of Private health Insurers. Some services will therefore be paid for by your private health insurance company.
Optional services are covered by the contract for medical treatment and must therefore be agreed in writing on admission. They are delivered in accordance with our general terms and conditions for contracts and the terms set out in the DRG’s schedule of charges. Our patient admission staff will be happy to advise you on options and costs for the optional services available at our hospital. They will also be able to help you take care of contractual formalities.
